DEPARTMENT:  Secondary Campus

 

REPORTS TO:  Principal

 

SUPERVISES:  None

 

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or GED

 

EXPERIENCE:  Two years bookkeeping experience

 

Position Function/Purpose

To keep a consistent accurate account of the moneys collected and distributed by the various school clubs and organizations.

Major Responsibilities

1.       Reconcile monthly 100-plus activity fund organizational accounts.

2.       Reconcile monthly activity fund cash and general ledgers balance.

3.       Review and process data entry for all (high school) activity fund transactions.

4.       Daily work with campus sponsors regarding activity fund transactions.

5.       Maintain both computerized and manual activity fund files           

6.       Maintain campus/activity funds on district data base

7.       Communicate regularly with campus staff, students and public

8.       Receive & disburse funds on a daily basis

9.       Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

1.       High School Diploma or GED

2.       Some college accounting courses preferred

3.       Typing skills

4.       Ten key by touch

5.       Computer experience

6.       Understand double entry bookkeeping

7.       Spreadsheet & data base experience

8.       Effective communication skills
